I often wish I was one of those girls that felt amazing or embraced the whole “No Makeup Craze” but I am not.  I have never been.  I can honestly count on one finger how many times I’ve left the house with no makeup on.  It was last month when I went to the dermatologist and it probably won’t happen again until my next appointment.  Makeup just makes me feel complete and put together and THAT feeling goes a LONG way when you have little kids. I’m not even talking about full on date night makeup. I could just have tinted moisturizer on, but let’s be real,  It’s still makeup.

Every month this pretty pink bag arrives and every month my husband asks me the same question. Why do you need to get that every month? And every month I simply say “Because it makes me feel pretty”.  The questions are usually dropped after that.  He knows not to go down that road. But my answer is the truth. It DOES make me feel pretty, and I have no plans to stop.

I have been getting IPSY since January 2017. It’s $10/month but well worth it! You get 5 items based on your preference and details about yourself. Before I started getting IPSY I was definitely a “drugstore” make up girl.  I didn’t spend a lot of money on things, and kept things simple. IPSY has really opened my eyes to all different brands of makeup and had me try things I normally wouldn’t such as a highlighter, which I literally wear every day now.

I was REALLY happy with my bag this month.  I LOVE all 5 products which to be honest is pretty rare.  Usually there is one thing I’m like “Nope, not for me” but this month was awesome.  I figured out that the more you review your items the MORE you’ll actually get stuff you like.  When you review they ask if you like those items such as “Contouring Kits” and you can say NO, please don’t send me those, or YES I love them! I haven’t had to buy anything other than foundation in a LONG time.  Also, just one of the items above would be $10 at the store so I think the value is definitely there.

I write all this NOT to encourage you to try IPSY, although if you do I’ll put a link below, but to encourage you to find something that makes YOU feel pretty.  It might be a new top, or shoes, or even underwear, but once a month try and buy yourself something that makes you feel good about yourself and DON’T feel guilty about it.  Your happiness matters.
