To be honest we really had no intention of “re-doing” our daughter’s room. We had purchased her a new bed and bedside when we moved in and thought she would be happy. After months of her sneaking into our bed at night because she didn’t “like” her room we decided to give her room a go.
So before we get to the goods. Here is the BEFORE:
I knew the first thing I wanted to do was order this wallpaper I had had my eye on. My daughter then requested a “princess castle” which is where I came up with the canopy.
I used to have a gallery of baby pictures above her dresser but wanted to re-do that since she’s getting older. (She’s a sassy 4 year old). She loves all things animals/ unicorns/ and pink. I ended up finding these cute prints then added the tassels for fun and of course the unicorn night light.
One of her favorite activities is dancing in front of my mirror so of course I needed to get her her own.
So in the end we didn’t do anything too major. We did end up replacing her window and door trim and then I painted the baseboards. I would say it’s 50/50 with her actually staying in her bed so a win in my book. Haha!
