It’s been awhile since we’ve done a fun Q & A! Today we’ll be answering your most recently asked questions.
How did you get started in your blog/social media page??
“Julie made me do it.” – Trisha. True. I did make her do it. I had recently just had our third baby and knew I wasn’t headed back to work. Trisha and I had always followed “bloggers” and I got to thinking “Maybe we could do that..” I needed something else to focus on before I went crazy. I called and talked to her about it and she promptly said “I think I have enough on my plate.” So I continued brainstorming and started to think of names for a blog. I ran them by her and she said “Wait, did you cut me out already?!”. She decided to give it a go. Funny thing- we thought when we started we would focus on kids clothing but soon found out that women tend to by more for themselves. =)
First selfies that we took…we’ve come a long way…
Do you keep everything you advertise or is some of the items just to try on?
We try and order multiple new arrivals from certain stores at a time. We do a try on of all items and then share our favorites (trust us, you don’t want to see some of the items.) We do keep most of the items we share, but honestly can’t keep everything we love because our closets are only so big.
Do you get discounts on what you advertise for your followers?
We do not. We purchase everything at the same price as our followers.
Do you make money posting the “big brand” company’s clothes? For example when you post sales from Macy’s, do you make a percentage from purchase of just a flat rate for advertising their merchandise?
We earn a very small commission on anything purchased from the links that we share. Each retailer has a different commission rate.
Have you always been shoppers that had an instinct for a bargain?
Trisha was a HUGE couponer and she talked me into it. She started when she had stopped working and was at home with her littles. And when I mean huge, she was that women that showed up with her binder and they would pay her money at the checkout. We both has large stockpiles of ALLL the things. And now we just have clothes. haha!
Best products to hide the rolls on larger figure women (besides weight loss )
We are going to get back with you! We think this deserves it’s own blog post!
What is your age difference?
6 years. Can you guess who’s older?! Funny story We really didn’t get along until we were much older. Like after marriage. We then came together for couponing and now the blog and it’s been the best thing ever!
