Our Half Bath Remodel

This transformation honestly blows my mind every time I look at it. When we purchased this house I knew there were two rooms I wanted to “re-do” right away. The first being the laundry room (if you missed that, check it out HERE) and the second being the half bath.

In my head I wanted to do 3 things, paint the walls, switch out the hardware to black and wallpaper the back wall. That’s it. In the end we did all those things and painted the cabinets, window trim and built shelves. Ha! Honestly though, it was ALL worth it! I LOVE how it turned out!

The Before:

The After:

I mean seriously!! It looks like a different bathroom! So here is the run down!

Wall Coloring:

We used Behr Marquee and used the shade Silver Marlin by Benjamin Moore.

Cabinet and Window Trim Paint

I once again used this amazing paint! NO PRIMER! Just paint! 2 coats on the cabinets, 3 coats on the window.

I tinted it to PURE WHITE by Sherwin Williams

Wallpaper:

I decided to try the peel and stick wallpaper that I have seen on so many home decor blogs! I loved this White Barnwood one. You are supposed to apply it vertically but I wanted the planks horizontally so I decided to apply it that way. I will say it’s not the easiest but not super hard. I managed to put it all up by MYSELF!

Shelving:

The shelving is all DIY from Home Depot. I just purchased black pipe ( I used 8 inch) and grabbed a 1 X 6 and cut to the length I wanted. I stained them with black stain. I think they look great and it was really cheap and inexpensive!

Mirror and Light:

I grabbed this mirror from Hobby Lobby and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! They sell on Amazon for over $100 and I really didn’t want to pay that much. I used my 40% off one item and grabbed this one for under $40! The light was originally chrome (look at before picture) and I just spray painted it black!

Signs:

Last but not least I grabbed two fun signs! Across from the toilet is a very empty wall so I added this one to it.

There you have it! Probably one of my favorite transformations yet!! Next up is the kitchen (which I’ve already started painting!) Until then!
